Emraan Hashmi is back in action with Ground Zero, a military thriller that’s already making noise. Excel Entertainment shared a new poster where Emraan looks fierce in full BSF uniform, holding a gun and ready for battle.
The film is based on true events and will release in cinemas on April 25. Emraan plays BSF Commandant Narendra Nath Dhar Dubey, the man behind a high-risk mission that changed everything. The teaser hints at intense drama, strong emotions, and a powerful patriotic vibe.
Ground Zero Trailer Release Date Confirmed
Reports already revealed the date, but now it’s official that the trailer will drop on April 7. The makers shared the news on social media with the caption, “Uncover the hidden story behind one of India’s most dangerous missions. #GroundZero trailer out on 7th April. Stay tuned.”
This story stands out as it’s about one of the boldest BSF operations in the last 50 years. Interestingly, the real-life Deputy Commandant Narendra Nath Dhar Dubey will also join the trailer launch event.
A source told Zoom, “BSF Deputy Commandant Narendra Nath Dhar Dubey, the real-life inspiration behind Emraan Hashmi’s character in Ground Zero, will be in Mumbai to attend the trailer launch on 7th April.”
The source also added, “Having him present makes this moment even more special, as the film – based on true events – depicts the high-stakes two-year mission he led, which was recognised in 2015 as the best BSF operation in the last 50 years.”

Tejas Deoskar directs the film. Sai Tamhankar plays a key role alongside Emraan. The film comes under the banner of Excel Entertainment, led by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar.
The production team also includes Kassim Jagmagia, Vishal Ramchandani, Sundeep C Sidhwani, Arhan Bagati, Talisman Films, Abhishek Kumar, and Nishikant Roy.
