Director Prasanth Varma impressed audiences with Hanu Man, which released in January 2024 and became a massive blockbuster. Now, fans are eagerly waiting for its sequel, Jai Hanuman, starring Kannada star Rishab Shetty. However, the film has hit a roadblock due to scheduling conflicts.
Jai Hanuman Makers Wish Gudi Padwa With New Poster
To keep the excitement alive, the makers unveiled a new poster on Gudi Padwa and Ugadi 2025. The poster features a sacred stone with “Shri Ram” inscribed on it, surrounded by worship items.
Sharing it in multiple languages, they wrote, “#HappyUgadi and #HappyGudiPadwa to everyone from Team #JaiHanuman.”

Film To NOT Release In 2025?
Fans may be excited, but the film is nowhere near production. Rishab Shetty is busy with the Kantara prequel, making it difficult to commit to Jai Hanuman. The film was initially planned for a 2025 release, but that now seems impossible.
Reports suggest Prasanth Varma is expected to complete at least half the shoot by now. But everything depends on Rishab’s availability. Adding to the uncertainty, Rishab is also working on a Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj biopic, set for January 2027. This project requires a major time commitment, pushing Jai Hanuman further down the priority list.
With Jai Hanuman facing delays, Prasanth Varma seems to be shifting focus. He is also working on a film with Prabhas, tentatively titled Brahmarakshas. The script is ready, and he could see this as his chance to grow as a top pan-India director.
Varma is also linked to Nandamuri Mokshagna’s debut film, but its status remains unclear. There are so many commitments and it would make Jai Hanuman difficult to hit this year.
Unlike Hanu Man, which wrapped up quickly with Teja Sajja and CGI-heavy sequences, Jai Hanuman is a much bigger project. Backed by Pushpa makers Mythri Movie Makers, this film is expected to be a grand spectacle. But for now, fans will have to wait longer to witness it on the big screen.
