Suniel Shetty is beaming with joy and it’s not just because of his personal life but also due to the return of a Bollywood classic Hera Pheri 3. The actor is preparing for a new role as a grandfather, as his daughter Athiya Shetty and cricketer KL Rahul are expecting their first child. At the same time, he is thrilled about reuniting with Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal for the much-awaited third instalment of Hera Pheri.
Suniel is currently appearing in Nadaaniyan, the debut film of Ibrahim Ali Khan (son of Saif Ali Khan). The film features Khushi Kapoor as well, with Suniel playing her father. It is directed by Shauna Gautam, who has previously worked as an associate director on Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani and assisted Rajkumar Hirani.
The biggest excitement revolves around Hera Pheri 3, which will mark the return of its original director Priyadarshan.
Suniel Shetty Says THIS On Hera Pheri 3
Suniel recently shared his excitement in an interview with TOI. He said “I think Priyadarshan sir is the original and the only one who can make Hera Pheri 3. I am super excited about that. He is someone who knows comedy like the back of his palm. He is a great scriptwriter, and he is writing himself again. He’s got an extraordinary script.”
He is confident that the franchise will deliver yet another ‘Blockbuster’ with the third instalment.
Hera Pheri 3 Filming To Begin In Late 2025
According to previous reports, Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal will start filming Hera Pheri 3 in December 2025. Director Priyadarshan is currently busy with Bhooth Bangla and will complete its editing, VFX, and post-production by mid-2025. After that, he will focus entirely on perfecting the Hera Pheri 3 script before shooting begins.
The basic storyline, character arcs, and plot structure are already in place, and the next few months will be spent fine-tuning the humour and ensuring it stays true to the beloved trio of Raju, Shyam, and Baburao.
The film is expected to be shot over six months (from December 2025 to May 2026) with the makers targeting a theatrical release in late 2026.
