The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) will respond to Aryan Khan’s bail application by 11 a.m. on Wednesday, and a special court will hear the case around 2:45 p.m. The NCB is expected to oppose Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan’s bail application in connection with the cruise ship cocaine bust case, according to sources. So far, 20 persons have been arrested in connection with the case. Aryan was placed in judicial prison for 14 days last Thursday, after which he went to court to request bail. On October 8, Aryan’s bail request was likewise denied by the magistrate court. On Monday, the special NDPS court heard the bail plea again, but the judge adjourned the case until Wednesday to await the NCB’s response.

When Aryan Khan and seven others were formally arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in connection with a drugs bust on a Mumbai-Goa cruise, Holiday Magistrate RK Rajebhosale presided on the case. Aryan was sentenced to a one-day NCB remand (until October 4), with the court instructing his lawyer to file a bail application before normal court.

Aryan’s lawyer claimed at his bail hearing at Mumbai’s Esplanade Court that since no narcotics were found on him, he could not be charged with seizure. The prosecution requested an extension of NCB remand in order to continue questioning and establish ties to narcotics dealers. The court ordered Aryan and the other co-accused to be held in NCB custody until October 7.

The defence team for Aryan petitioned for bail, claiming that the NCB had done no additional questioning and that an extension of imprisonment was unnecessary. The prosecution has requested for an extension once more. The court refused NCB’s motion and placed Aryan in judicial custody for 14 days, with a bail hearing set for the next day. The NCB was asked to keep the accused in their custody for the time period because jail authorities do not admit accused after 6 p.m. without a COVID report.

The prosecution contended at the bail hearing in Mumbai’s Esplanade Court that the court had no jurisdiction to consider Aryan’s (and others’) bail applications because it lacked jurisdiction.

A Special NDPS Court heard the bail applications of Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchantt, Munmun Dhamecha, and other defendants. The NCB requested more time to prepare responses, and the court gave them two days to do so in response to the accused’s request.

On Thursday, Satish Maneshinde, Aryan Khan’s lawyer, claimed that the inquiry into the cruise rave party in which his client was arrested has not moved from the 6 gram of charas confiscated from Arbaaz to the 2.6 gram of ganja obtained from Arbaaz Merchant & Achit. The NCB requested an extension of the detention of the eight people arrested in the case until October 11 on Thursday, alleging that the investigation is spreading and new information is being revealed every day. It specifically highlighted Achit, who had been recognised as the supplier by both Aryan Khan and Arbaaz Merchant. The agency stated that it requires the arrestees’ custody in order to verify Achit’s statement.

“Achit is the only person they want to confront with me now they could have done yesterday. They can do it anytime. I am available, even later. They have everything from me, now, phone, chats. They have not interrogated me for the last two nights. They want to reach the main accused but they can’t keep me in custody till then. I haven’t seen the head of the cartel. We have been longest in the custody. NCB investigation has not progressed from 6 grams of Charas seized from Arbaaz to 2.6 grams of ganja seized from Achit,” Maneshinde said on behalf of Aryan Khan.

Throughout this ordeal, Shah Rukh’s fans have been by his side. They have been vocal in their support for SRK on social media and have demonstrated their love by writing ‘We stand with Shah Rukh Khan’ on large hoardings outside his home.

On the other hand, several Bollywood celebrities, including Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Richa Chadha, filmmaker Zoya Akhtar, comedian Johnny Lever, and actress Raveena Tandon, spoke out to show their support for the power couple and to send them their love and strength in these tough times.

Recently, Shatrughan Sinha spoke about the topic too. He said, “Shah Rukh is definitely the reason why the boy is being targeted. There are other names like Munmun Dhamecha and Arbaaz Merchant, but nobody is talking about them. The last time such a thing happened, the focus was on Deepika Padukone, although there were other names involved, and known names too, but the focus was on her only.”

Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan have been going through a difficult period with their son Aryan Khan still imprisoned in the cruise drug raid case. According to a portal, Shah Rukh Khan has been up all night worrying about his son Aryan’s bail. Both SRK and Gauri Khan are heartbroken, as they had not expected their kid to be detained for such a lengthy period of time.

The NCB arrested Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchant, Munmun Dhamecha, Nupur Satija, Ishmeet Singh, Mohak Jaswal, Vikrant Chhoker, and Gomit Chopra on October 3 following a cruise party raid. They were denied bail on October 4 while the case was being investigated.
