Director Shouryuv, known for his debut film Hi Nanna, has addressed recent rumours about his next project involving Tollywood star Jr NTR. Despite circulating reports suggesting that Shouryuv’s upcoming film would be a collaboration with the popular actor, the director has firmly denied these claims.
Hi Nanna Director NOT Discussing A Film With Jr NTR
When contacted by Hindustan Times, Shouryuv clarified, “It’s not true. I don’t even know how these rumours began. Unfortunately, it’s false info.” He added with a touch of humour, “I wish it were true too, maybe someday.”
The confusion likely stemmed from a recent Pinkvilla report, which cited a source claiming that Shouryuv had pitched a two-part action-drama to Jr NTR. The source alleged that the project had been approved and was expected to commence in 2026, with the first film slated for release in 2028 and the second in 2031.
Shouryuv’s debut film, Hi Nanna, which featured Nani and Mrunal Thakur, received a positive response both in theatres and on Netflix. The romantic drama centred around a single father caring for his sick child, while Thakur’s character dealt with amnesia following an accident.
Jr NTR Is Busy With Devara Part 1
As for Jr NTR, he remains busy with an exciting slate of projects. After his acclaimed performance in RRR, he is currently working on Koratala Siva’s Devara: Part 1, which also stars Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan.
Bobby Deol is also set to appear in a significant role in the film’s sequel. Additionally, Jr NTR is involved in Ayan Mukerji’s War 2, marking his Bollywood debut alongside Hrithik Roshan. He is also set to feature in a film directed by Prashanth Neel, with details yet to be revealed.
