The highly anticipated Housefull 5 is gearing up to start filming this September, marking the next chapter in one of Hindi cinema’s most beloved comedy franchises.
Producer Sajid Nadiadwala is making headlines with an impressive lineup of male leads: Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Fardeen Khan, and Sanjay Dutt. This ensemble promises to bring fresh energy to the series, which is set against the backdrop of a cruise.
Akshay Kumar To Romance Jacqueline Fernandez In Housefull 5
Touted as the most expensive film in the Housefull series, with a staggering budget of Rs 300 crores, this instalment aims to elevate the franchise to new heights. Alongside these star-studded male actors, Jacqueline Fernandez has been confirmed as one of the female leads. She will be paired opposite Akshay Kumar in this comedic extravaganza.
A source close to the production told Bollywood Hungama, “Jacqueline is excited to return to the Housefull franchise. She enjoys the comic space and is ecstatic to continue her association with Sajid Nadiadwala and the Housefull Franchise.”
The source also mentioned that Sajid is in discussions with three other A-list actresses to join the cast, with an official announcement expected soon.
Film Was Earlier Expected To Arrive On Diwali 2024
Originally slated for a Diwali 2024 release, Housefull 5 has been pushed to 6th June 2025. Sajid Nadiadwala took to Instagram last December to announce the delay.
He explained, “The Housefull franchise owes its massive success to the audiences, and we hope for a similar reception for Housefull 5. The team has crafted an absolutely mind-blowing story that demands top-notch VFX. Therefore, we’ve made the decision to push the release to ensure we deliver five times the entertainment with a cinematic experience.”
Directed by Tarun Mansukhani, Housefull 5 continues the tradition of its predecessors, which were released in 2010, 2012, 2016, and 2019. The film will once again feature Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, and Sanjay Dutt, adding continuity to the beloved franchise.
