War starring Hrithik Roshan, Tiger Shroff & Vaani Kapoor enjoyed the Gandhi Jayanti holiday this October. It did pretty well for itself crossing the 300 crore mark at the box office. But what many people don’t know is how the major aspects of the film were copied from a Hollywood film.
Without taking any efforts even on the title, makers of the film decided to take certain things from a Hollywood actioner also named War. There are mild spoilers ahead, you’ll not lose your watching experience because it’s anyway just the action sequences that matter.
In the Bollywood flick, we see Tiger Shroff’s character doing ‘something’ around plastic surgery. Even that twist was copied from the Hollywood one, exact same angle. Hrithik Roshan’s character goes rogue in the film, and that would’ve been acceptable if we go by the usual Hollywood action flicks as this angle common in them. But, even Hollywood’s War has the same angle making things more chaotic for the Bollywood one.
This is a blatant misuse of good writers in the industry because many can actually create original content backing this scale of a film. A production house as big as Yash Raj Film should keep a check on these things & disallow this shameless copying by its directors.
