Ibrahim Ali Khan’s much-anticipated sports drama, Diler, has faced a sudden change in filming plans. Due to increasing unrest in the UK, producer Dinesh Vijan has decided to scrap the London shoot.
According to a Mid-day report, Director Kunal Deshmukh‘s film was initially scheduled for an extended shoot in London. However, with the situation in the UK becoming increasingly unstable, the team opted to cancel the international leg.
Diler To Be Shot In Mumbai Now, Makers Huntng For Suitable Location
Safety concerns for the cast and crew were a major factor in this decision. A source revealed, “In late July, the team conducted location scouting and look tests in London. Kunal had planned a substantial shooting schedule there. But as conditions deteriorated, the cost of securing the necessary safety measures became prohibitive.”
The production team, led by Deshmukh, is now focused on finding suitable locations in Mumbai to recreate the UK settings. The goal is to start filming in Mumbai in the first week of September. The decision to shift locations was made with the safety of everyone involved as the top priority.

Ibrahim Ali Khan, the son of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh, is also set to make his Bollywood debut with Sarzameen. This film, directed by Kayoze Irani and backed by Karan Johar, stars Kajol and Prithviraj Sukumaran. Described as a mystery thriller, Sarzameen delves into various aspects of love and relationships.
While details about Diler remain under wraps, it is known that the film will centre around the life of a marathoner. This project will mark Ibrahim’s second appearance on screen. The rest of the cast for the film has yet to be announced.
