Akshay Kumar’s much awaited film, Sooryavanshi, directed by Rohit Shetty and produced by Reliance Entertainment has been pending release since March 2020. The film, also starring Katrina Kaif, Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh, is meant for bigger screen and that is why the makers have not considered any OTT offers so far.
Now, we have learnt that Sooryavanshi makers are eyeing Independence Day weekend for the film’s release in theatres, if theatres open in the country and normalcy returns.

Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar’s other film, Bell Bottom has been recently sold to Amazon Prime Video for a whooping price for a direct to digital premiere. It is rumoured that Prime Video is also considering the same, Independence Day weekend for the film’s premiere on their platform.
Produced by Jackky Bhagnani (Pooja Entertainment) and Nikkhil Advani (Emmay Entertainment), Bell Bottom also stars Huma Qureshi, Vaani Kapoor and Lara Dutta.
The official announcement is still awaited from both parties, however the talks are on.
