Ajay Devgn is set to return as IRS officer Amay Patnaik in Raid 2, the highly anticipated sequel to the 2018 hit. While recent reports, already revealed the new release date, Ajay Devgn and the makers have now made it official with a new poster.
The makers have officially confirmed that the crime thriller will arrive in cinemas on May 1, 2025. Along with the announcement, a new poster featuring Devgn in an intense and thoughtful look has been revealed.
Raid 2 Release Date Confirmed
Sharing the poster on social media, Devgn teased a new mission in a different city and another high-profile case.
He wrote, “Naya Shehar. Nayi File. Aur Amay Patnaik Ki Ek Nayi Raid. #Raid2 knocking at your doors in cinemas near you on 1st May 2025.”

Fans won’t have to wait long for a glimpse of the film. The first teaser of Raid 2 will be released online by the end of this week.
According to a recent Pinkvilla report, it will then be screened in cinemas nationwide during the Eid 2025 release of Sikandar, starring Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna.
The makers have also partnered with multiplex chains to ensure the teaser gets a wide reach. A source shared that Ajay Devgn, Kumar Mangat, and Bhushan Kumar are directly connecting with audiences to position Raid 2 as a major big-screen event. The film will deliver a classic hero vs villain showdown to attract a broad audience.

Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, Raid 2 will continue Amay Patnaik’s fight against corruption. Riteish Deshmukh takes on the antagonist’s role, joining Devgn and Vaani Kapoor in key roles.
The story follows Amay as he teams up with intelligence agencies to crack a major financial fraud. Written by Ritesh Shah, the film is produced by Panorama Studios and T-Series Films.
