Filmmaker Siddharth Anand has ignited excitement among fans with his latest social media post. The director-producer shared a picture with Saif Ali Khan, captioned, “Back on set with my first hero! How can nothing change!”
This post confirmed their collaboration after 17 years, causing a buzz among movie enthusiasts. Now, Anand has revealed the title of their new project with a picture featuring Robbie Grewal and Saif, captioned with the film’s title: Jewel Thief – The Red Sun Chapter.

Siddharth Anand is producing the project under Marflix Pictures alongside producer Mamta Anand, while Robbie Grewal will be directing.
The film, a heist drama, promises high expectations with its stellar combination of producers, directors, and actors. The movie will also star Jaideep Ahlawat in a pivotal role. Reports indicate that the film will revolve around the intense rivalry between Saif Ali Khan and Jaideep Ahlawat and will be released directly on digital platforms.
Currently, Siddharth Anand, Mamta Anand, Saif Ali Khan, Robbie Grewal, and the rest of the cast and crew are shooting in Budapest. While this project marks the first collaboration between Robbie and Saif, Khan and Siddharth have previously worked together on Salaam Namaste and Ta Ra Rum Pum.
Jewel Thief Has Been Sold To Netflix At Rs 60 Crore
The screenplay for Jewel Thief – The Red Sun Chapter is penned by Grewal, Anand, and Sambit Mishra. It promises a relentless battle of wits set against the backdrop of a high-stakes heist. Industry insiders have been buzzing with speculation since news broke that Netflix secured the rights to the film for a reported sum of Rs. 60 crore.
In addition to this project, Saif Ali Khan will also be seen in Jr. NTR’s upcoming Telugu film Devara: Part 1, which also stars Janhvi Kapoor. This film is set for release in October 2024.
