Jigra Actress Alia Bhatt Says No Amount Of PR Effort Can Save A BAD Film: ‘If It Works, You Can’t Say…’

Alia Bhatt asserts that no amount of PR can save a bad film. She stresses the importance of genuine storytelling over marketing gimmicks.

Alia Bhatt is one of the most bankable actresses in Bollywood. After RARKPK, she is now gearing up for the release of her upcoming film Jigra. With a string of hits under her belt, she has become a household name in Bollywood.

However, while many in the industry believe that effective promotions can make or break a film, Alia has a different perspective.

Alia Bhatt Feels No Amount Of Promotional Effort Can Save A Bad Film

During a recent promotional event for Jigra, Alia shared her thoughts on the impact of public relations in filmmaking.

She boldly stated, “You can’t save a bad film with PR; you can’t save a film that hasn’t worked with PR. So, if it works, you can’t say it’s because of PR. That’s the key difference—draw the line and try to understand.”

Do you agree? Well, Alia’s honesty about the industry is definitely refreshing!

Alia Bhatt On Authenticity While Presenting Oneself In Public

She also discussed the pressure of being in the limelight. The Jigra actress explained that while it’s normal to present certain aspects of oneself to the public, the situation turns unhealthy when individuals start to fabricate their stories.

She stressed the importance of authenticity, noting that lying will never change the truth. “Repeating a lie a hundred times wouldn’t make it the truth,” she affirmed.

This emphasis on honesty resonates with many in an age where social media often blurs the lines between reality and perception.

Jigra, directed by Vasan Bala, is set to hit theatres on October 11, 2024. The film also stars Vedang Raina and Manoj Pahwa in significant roles.

Alia’s Work Front

In addition to Jigra, Alia is busy with multiple projects. She is currently filming Alpha, a spy thriller directed by Shiv Rawail and produced by YRF. Alia recently wrapped up the Kashmir schedule with co-star Sharvari Wagh and shared her joy over the completion on social media.

Moreover, she is collaborating with Sanjay Leela Bhansali in Love And War, where she will share screen space with Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal.

Reports suggest that shooting for this much-anticipated period drama will commence with the male leads in October 2024, with Alia joining the cast later in December.

While Ranbir is currently occupied with Ramayana, Vicky is gearing up for the release of Chhaava in December.
