Kangana Ranaut recently grabbed attention at the trailer launch of Emergency not only for her role as Indira Gandhi but also for her straightforward comments about Bollywood’s iconic Khans.
As both the lead actor and director of the film, Kangana openly discussed her views on Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Aamir Khan, leaving no room for speculation.
Kangana Ranaut Wishes To Collaborate With 3 Khans
During her interaction with the media, Kangana expressed a strong desire to work with all three Khans. “I would love to produce and direct a film with all three Khans. And I would also love to show their talented side of theirs, wherein they can act, and also look good. And they can also do something, which is very significant to society. I would like to make a film like that. Because I think they are all very talented,” she said. Her comments suggest that while she acknowledges their star power, she also sees untapped potential in these actors.
Who Is Kangana’s Favourite Khan?
When asked about her favourite Khan, Kangana had a surprising revelation. Despite often criticising Shah Rukh and Aamir, she spoke fondly of the late Irrfan Khan.
“What they are doing is… of course they are adding a lot of revenue to the film industry and we should be eternally grateful to them. Also, they are engaging with a mass of people, who need that kind of engagement. I think there is a very artistic side to all three of them, which has not been explored other than in just a few films. And I would love to explore that with (them) and so many other actors. One actor that I always regret not being able to direct is Irfan Khan saab (sir); he is one of my favourite Khans and I will always miss him,” she shared.
Kangana’s admiration for Irrfan’s craft was evident as she lamented the missed opportunity to direct the versatile actor, who passed away in 2020.
Actress Says Industry Has Boycotted Her
Kangana also addressed the challenges she has faced in the industry, including being boycotted by many. She pointed out how difficult it has become for others to stand with her or work with her.
Kangana noted that even praising her is not easy for many in Bollywood. Her statement highlighted the ongoing struggle she faces in an industry where alliances and networks often dictate opportunities.
