Tiku Weds Sheru, featuring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Avneet Kaur, made its debut on Amazon Prime Video on June 23. The film, produced by Kangana Ranaut, has received positive feedback from a limited audience. However, it has faced significant criticism from viewers and most critics due to its storyline and direction. It has been revealed that Kangana extensively modified the script, but unfortunately, these changes have had a detrimental impact on the film rather than improving its appeal.

According to a source, significant disparities exist between the initial script narration and the final outcome of the film. The essence and charm of the movie underwent a significant alteration due to numerous changes made by Kangana. As a result, the film suffered a loss of impact, and its overall quality was compromised.
The source further explained that there was a lack of coherence throughout the film. In one instance, Tiku’s character, who initially spoke broken English, suddenly displayed flawless English-speaking skills during a beach scene, as though she had graduated from Oxford. This inconsistency was at odds with the intended portrayal of her character as naïve and eccentric, leading to her appearing overly intelligent in the film.
According to a crew member, Kangana took charge as the main director of the film, while her brother Aksht Ranaut served as the associate producer. This is ironic because Kangana had previously spoken out against nepotism and actors favoring their family members in movies.
The crew member also mentioned that the film begins with a scene where Tiku is seen writing a poem. The director disagreed with including this scene, as it didn’t make sense or contribute to the story. However, despite objections, the scene was added. Changes were also made in the first half of the film, particularly involving Tiku’s family and Sheru’s friend. Kangana made edits to these scenes, which had the potential to improve the film. Unfortunately, these changes left the director, Sai Kabir, feeling upset and discouraged.
When questioned about why Sai Kabir didn’t object to Kangana’s alterations, the source explained that it was challenging for him to do so. In the past, Kangana had already exerted her influence and made changes in films like Simran (2017) and Manikarnika (2019) despite being just an actor. In the case of Manikarnika, she even replaced the director. Given this history, it was difficult for Sai Kabir, as the director, to stand up against Kangana, especially when she was also the producer. The source highlighted that Kangana’s growing dominance was evident in how she addressed Sai, initially using respectful terms like “Sir,” but later adopting a more casual and informal tone.
Action Director Had To Direct The Climax
Another crew member raised a complaint regarding Sai Kabir, stating that he didn’t shoot the climax scene. Instead, action director Sunil Rodrigues had to take charge and direct the sequence. This was because Sai was reportedly heavily drunk and eventually left the set. The situation became chaotic, leaving the actors confused and questioning what was happening. The absurdity of the climax scene left the audience shocked.
