Prabhas is stepping back into mythological roles. After his role in Kalki 2898 AD, he is now taking on a new character in Kannappa. Directed by Vishnu Manchu, the film is already creating a lot of buzz with the release of Prabhas’ first look.

On X (formerly Twitter), the makers shared a powerful image of Prabhas as Rudra. The character is known for his divine strength.

In the poster, Prabhas is dressed in simple yet strong attire. His hair is wild, symbolising the raw energy of his character. His forehead is marked with sacred chandan, adding a spiritual touch. Rudraksh malas are seen on his neck and wrist, enhancing the mysterious aura. Holding a wooden spear, he embodies both strength and devotion, creating an unforgettable image.
The filmmakers described Rudra as “a force of divine strength, wisdom, and protector.” They teased an epic journey full of love, sacrifice, and devotion. The post promises that the film will be an ‘extraordinary’ experience when it releases in April.
About The Film
Kannappa is a tribute to India’s rich cultural history. The film tells the story of Kannappa Nayanar, a revered Shaivite saint known for his deep devotion to Lord Shiva. It is a tale of pure faith that will connect with audiences familiar with Indian spirituality.
Before revealing Prabhas’ look, the makers also introduced Akshay Kumar and Kajal Aggarwal in their roles. Akshay will play Lord Shiva, and Kajal will portray Devi Parvathi.
