Salman Khan is all set to unleash a high-octane action spectacle with AR Murugadoss’s Sikandar. The Eid 2025 release will feature massive action sequences in four thrilling locations – a train, an aircraft, a jail, and a hospital. The film aims to present Khan in a larger-than-life avatar, packed with adrenaline-pumping fights.
More Details On Sikandar Action Sequences
The train sequence was shot last month at a central Mumbai railway station and promises to be a major highlight. A source close to the production revealed to mid-day, “This sequence had Salman and the supporting cast, who play his bodyguards, racing to search for someone. The superstar also had his real-life bodyguards around him, keeping his security concerns in mind, as the scene involved a big crowd. The scene culminates with him locating the baddie and engaging in a fierce fight that plays out in a train.”
A part of the scene was filmed in a studio before moving to the railway station for the live-action shots.
Another intense action from the film is a brutal jail sequence, choreographed by action director Kevin Kumar. This particular set-piece was shot at both Film City and Matunga.
“The jail scene sees Salman’s character taking gangsters head-on. It’s a bloody and brutal fight designed by Kevin Kumar. Involving hand-to-hand combat and guns, the sequence ends with Salman as the last man standing,” the source shared.
The makers wanted to craft a no-holds-barred action experience, and the jail fight is expected to be one of the film’s best moments.
Salman To Begin Promotions From March
Apart from the larger-than-life action, Sikandar also brings an emotional depth to Khan’s character. The film follows his journey from being a wealthy man to choosing a simpler life as he fights against corruption.
The last leg of filming is currently underway in Mumbai. Recently, Salman was spotted filming a sequence at a club in Atria Mall, Worli.
The source further revealed, “One song is remaining. It will be shot later this month after Rashmika recovers from her leg injury. If things go as planned, Murugadoss will call it a wrap by February-end, and Salman will begin promotions from the first week of March.”
Once Sikandar wraps up, Salman has a packed slate ahead with Kick 2, Atlee’s A6, and the much-anticipated Tiger Vs Pathaan.
