Karan Johar’s next with Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt – Title & more details, read inside!

The title of the film has been finalised and the makers are prepping the film to take it on floors this year

“The makers were on the lookout for a quirky yet relatable title and that’s when they zeroed in on Prem Kahani. The film is essentially a love story of two completely opposite characters, and the audience will get a glimpse of vintage Karan Johar, whose films at one point, were just meant to spread happiness, and take the audience in a fairy tale world,” a source told Bollywood Hungama.

The pre-production for the film has already started. Karan and his writing team have even locked the script and the dialogue draft. They’re also planning to get the crew vaccinated over next couple of months.

“The first step is to get the crew vaccinated, and this will be followed by getting on the sets to kick off the first schedule. It’s all work in progress with set designing and other aspects being looked after in isolation. The music sittings have also begun, as being a romantic saga, there’s an ample of scope for good music,” the source further told.

It is also heard that there is an exciting cast ensemble on board the film, in addition to these two actors. Prem Kahani marks Karan’s return to the direction, four years after his Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai starrer Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. So, he’s leaving no stone unturned to make sure it’s a big success.

“Though a love story, this one is in a completely different space. While ADHM was intense, this one has ample comedy and fits in the definition of rom-coms that Bollywood, especially, the ones Dharma Productions is known for.” the source concluded.

Meanwhile, Alia will next be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai, SRK’s production Darlings and Telugu magnum opus RRR with Jr. NTR and Ram Charan. Ranveer Singh will next be seen in Rohit Shetty’s Cirkus and YRF’s Jayeshbhai Jordaar.
