Reports that emerged last May about a potential collaboration between two of Karan Johar’s ‘students’ have finally been confirmed. Nearly a year later, the news has arrived – Varun Dhawan, who made his debut in Student of the Year (2012), and Tiger Shroff, who graced Student of the Year 2 (2017), are set to team up for another Dharma Productions project.
Yes, you read that right! Tiger and Varun will co-star in a new movie produced by none other than their SOTY producer and mentor, Karan Johar.
Varun Dhawan And Tiger Shroff To Join Forces For KJo’s Next Film
It will be an upcoming action comedy film, as reported by Midday. Expected to commence filming next year, the project reunites director Raj Mehta with Varun Dhawan, following their collaboration on Jugjugg Jeeyo in 2022. The film, still untitled, boasts a script by Sumit Roy and dialogues crafted by Anurag Kashyap.
Raj’s directorial venture marks Tiger Shroff’s second collaboration with KJo, following the postponement of their action-packed project Screw Dheela in November 2022.

Varun is gearing up for the release of Baby John while also prepping to start filming Sunny Sanskari ki Tulsi Kumari alongside Janhvi Kapoor next month, under the direction of his buddy, Shashank Khaitan. Additionally, he’s lined up for his filmmaker-father David Dhawan’s next project and Anees Bazmee’s No Entry Mein Entry, co-starring Arjun Kapoor and Diljit Dosanjh.
Tiger, who recently appeared in Bade Miyan Chote Miyan alongside Akshay Kumar, faced disappointment at the box office. His projects Rambo and Hero No 1 are currently shelved, leaving Baaghi 4 as his only confirmed film, though production timelines remain uncertain.
