Box Office Worldwide has exclusively learned that Kareena will make a special appearance in King for a song titled Daddy Cool, with the lavish shoot locked in South Africa later this month. The track is being positioned as one of the film’s standout attractions, and the makers are mounting it on a notably ambitious scale.
Kareena Kapoor Joins King For Daddy Cool
Kareena has allotted around five days for the shoot and will join Shah Rukh Khan for the special number in South Africa. The song is expected to package the pair in a fresh avatar, giving audiences a new on-screen moment from two stars who have shared memorable space in films like Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham and Don.
A source says, “Daddy Cool is being mounted as a very special song and will bring Shah Rukh Khan and Kareena together in a way audiences haven’t seen before. It is expected to be one of the biggest highlights of King, and the makers are leaving no stone unturned to make it memorable.”
The song has been composed by Sachin Jigar, and the team is also planning an Indian and international artist collaboration for the number. That additional layer has only raised curiosity around how Daddy Cool will eventually be unveiled.

The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on December 25, 2026.
