Kartik Aaryan’s 2026 calendar is quickly turning into a filmmaker’s dream and a scheduling nightmare. The actor has just wrapped the first schedule of his untitled next with Kabir Khan, produced by Applause Entertainment, after filming in the stunning Pahalgam region of Kashmir. With the valley leg packed up, Kartik is now switching tracks to close out the remaining shoot of his creature comedy Naagzilla before returning to Kabir Khan’s set in March.
The update, currently doing the rounds across industry trackers and fan pages, underlines just how tightly Kartik has been stacking his dates as multiple big projects move into active production this year.
The Latest Update: Pahalgam Schedule Wrapped, March Restart Locked
The Kabir Khan film, which is still untitled, completed its first schedule in Pahalgam, Kashmir. The team is expected to resume filming in March, continuing with the second schedule. Applause Entertainment is producing the project, marking a high profile collaboration between the banner and Kartik, with Kabir Khan steering the direction.
For Kartik, the gap between schedules is not a break. He is expected to use the window to finish the final leg of Naagzilla, with the remaining work said to be a 15 day schedule.
While plot details, principal cast announcements, and a release timeline for the Kabir Khan project have not been formally announced by the makers yet, the Kashmir start indicates the film is now firmly on floors and progressing on plan.
Naagzilla Heads Into Its Final Stretch
Naagzilla is a fantasy comedy directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba and backed by Dharma Productions along with Mahaveer Jain Films. Kartik leads the film as an ichchadhari naag named Preyamvadeshwar Pyare Chand. The film has been dated for a theatrical release on August 14, 2026.
The film’s shoot momentum has been steady since it went on floors in late 2025, and industry updates in early 2026 indicated the Mumbai schedule was completed, with a final major schedule in Delhi planned to take the project to the finish line.
Kartik Aaryan’s Recent And Upcoming Work
Kartik was last seen in Anees Bazmee’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 (2024), the latest entry in the blockbuster horror comedy franchise. Before that, he played India’s first Paralympic gold medallist Murlikant Petkar in Chandu Champion (2024), directed by Kabir Khan, a collaboration that now directly feeds into their new untitled film. In the OTT space, Kartik headlined the romantic thriller Freddy (2022), which released on Disney Plus Hotstar.
In the current phase, Kartik has Naagzilla locked for August 14, 2026, and is simultaneously filming the untitled Kabir Khan project for Applause Entertainment, with the second schedule starting in March. With two very different films running side by side, one rooted in Kabir Khan’s grounded storytelling and the other leaning into fantasy comedy, Kartik is clearly aiming for range as he builds his next run of theatrical titles.
