Kartik Aaryan is back with another love story. The actor will star opposite South actress Sreeleela in a musical romance directed by Anurag Basu. This film is set to release on Diwali 2025 and the first look has been unveiled just now. Fans are also speculating that it could be Aashiqui 3. While the makers haven’t confirmed the title yet, the first look has certainly sparked excitement.

The video shows him in a brooding lover-boy avatar, complete with a rugged beard and messy hair. He is seen singing “Tu hi zindagi hai, tu hi Aashiqui hai” at a packed concert, while Sreeleela also makes an appearance.
The romantic and intense vibe of the video has left fans wondering if this is indeed part of the Aashiqui franchise. Sharing the video, Kartik wrote, “This Diwali.”

Reports about Sreeleela’s casting had been circulating even before the official announcement. Sources revealed that Sreeleela is set to share the screen with Kartik Aaryan, making it an exciting on-screen pairing to look forward to.
Sreeleela (known for her viral dance performance in Pushpa 2) has grabbed attention in Bollywood. The 23-year-old is also set to debut opposite Ibrahim Ali Khan in a Maddock Films project. Earlier this year, she was spotted with him in Mumbai for a script-reading session.
Film’s Shoot Begins In March
Meanwhile, Anurag Basu recently confirmed in an interview that filming for the project will kick off in March. He also mentioned that they finalised the female lead just a week before the announcement. The film, presented by Gulshan Kumar & T-Series, is produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar, with music by Pritam.
