The makers of Kesari Chapter 2 are in no mood to let the excitement die, and it has just reached new heights with fresh assets. The film is expected to be one of the most anticipated releases of 2025.
It explores the aftermath of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre, with Akshay Kumar playing the fearless lawyer Sir C Sankaran Nair. Until now, details about the other key characters remained a mystery, but the latest reveal has social media buzzing.
R Madhavan’s Intense First Look From Kesari Chapter 2
The makers have finally introduced R Madhavan as Neville McKinley, and his first look is intense. He appears in a black lawyer’s robe, his hair tied back neatly, sporting a salt-and-pepper look. His sharp gaze hints at a fierce battle ahead.
Sharing the motion poster, makers wrote, “Sharp, fearless, undeniable… but playing for the other side!” It’s clear that we will see a strong legal clash between Madhavan and Akshay’s characters.
The motion poster offers a glimpse of McKinley in a heated exchange with Sir C. Sankaran Nair. Their intense confrontation teases a courtroom drama packed with tension, emotion, and historical significance.
Alongside Madhavan’s introduction, the makers also revealed Simon Paisley Day as General Reginald Dyer, the man behind the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. His character is bound to stir strong emotions.
The teaser poster for Dyer was shared with the caption, “Bullets rained, innocents fell… and he stood cold.”
Film’s Teaser Featuring Akshay Was Unveiled Recently

A voiceover follows with the words: “Don’t forget that you’re still a slave to the British Empire.” The teaser then unveils Akshay Kumar’s fiery portrayal of Sir C. Sankaran Nair, ending with his powerful line: “F*ck you.”
Directed by Karan Singh Tyagi, Kesari Chapter 2: The Untold Story of Jallianwala Bagh boasts a strong production team, including Hiroo Yash Johar, Aruna Bhatia, Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Amritpal Singh Bindra, and Anand Tiwari. The film is set to hit cinemas on April 18, 2025.
