Shah Rukh Khan is set to return to action with King, directed by Siddharth Anand. The film stars his daughter Suhana Khan in a key role. However, they will not play father and daughter on screen. Instead, SRK will reportedly be seen as an assassin who protects Suhana’s character from a dangerous threat.
Filming Of King Set For May 2025
There were rumours that the shoot had been delayed from March, but Siddharth Anand confirmed otherwise. Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, the Pathaan director stated that the schedules had been locked months ago, according to the time-spaces provided by Khan and Siddharth Anand. This clears up reports suggesting a postponement that was previously reported by the same portal.
As per the fresh claims, the first schedule begins in May 2025, and about 30% of the film will be completed after that. King will be shot in multiple locations across India and Europe. The film is produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix and is expected to release in late 2026.
Shah Rukh Khan And Siddharth Anand Plan To Make It A Grand Actioner
A source revealed that Siddharth Anand and Shah Rukh Khan are planning to make King a grand action film. After working together on Pathaan, they are aiming to take things to the next level. “The director is making sure everything is perfect on paper before rolling the cameras,” the source shared.
The cast of King also includes Munjya actor Abhay Verma and Abhishek Bachchan. Makers are in search of a female lead opposite the superstar. However, nothing has been finalised yet.
SRK spoke about the film during an event in Abu Dhabi. He mentioned that he would be filming for a few months but couldn’t reveal much as Siddharth Anand had strictly instructed him to stay quiet about the details. However, he assured fans that the film would be highly entertaining.
