In July 2022, TIGER Shroff and Karan Johar teased the release of their first joint project, “Screw Dheela.” Because the idea appeared potential and Tiger Shroff was visible in a different avatar, the audience became enthusiastic about it. According to recent rumours, the project has been shelved by the creators. Tiger Shroff’s fee of Rs 30 crores prompted Karan Johar to shelve the movie.
“After Student Of The Year 2 which turned out to be a damp squib, Karan suggested that Tiger and Dharma Productions get together for a full-on action film. Tiger was very excited. He refused to discuss money with Karan,” said a source of Bollywood Hungama. Further added, “Karan tried to explain to Tiger’s team that after the pandemic and the recession no producer can afford such star prices. But they wouldn’t budge. So Karan had no option but to call off the project.”
In July 2022, the Screw Dheela teaser was revealed. Karan Johar posted the announcement video and said, “Arriving with a solid punch of entertainment, super excited to present Tiger Shroff in #ScrewDheela, directed by Shashank Khaitan in an all new world of action!!!”
On the professional front, Karan will make a comeback as the director of the Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt film “Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.” February 2023 will see the film’s theatrical debut.
