SS Rajamouli Directorial RRR Starring Ram Charan Becomes 3rd Highest Grossing Indian Film In Japan, Outshines Aamir Khan Starrer 3 Idiots. Watch The Video Inside!

In Japan, it released across 209 screens and 31 Imax screens across 44 cities and prefectures and had a decent occupancy.

RRR, released on March 24, is an action-drama film starring Ram Charan, N.T. Rama Rao, Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, Olivia Morris. It’s directed by SS Rajamouli and has been reportedly made with a budget of 550 crores. Its song ‘Naatu Naatu’ and VFX in it got prominence from moviegoers.

In Japan, it released across 209 screens and 31 Imax screens across 44 cities and prefectures and had a decent occupancy. It has outshined Aamir Khan‘s starrer 3 Idiots. The box-office collection of 3 Idiots in Japan is JPY 170 million, whereas RRR has received JPY 180 million in 17 days to become the third highest-grossing Indian film.

 

Rajinikanth’s Muthu has minted JPY400 million, followed by SS Rajamouli directorial Baahubali 2 with receiving JPY 300 million at box office. In third place is Rajamouli’s popular RRR. 

The movie also received the Best International Film award at the 50th Saturn Awards. It was nominated in numerous categories like Best Director, Best Action-Adventure Film and Best International Film.
