Kriti Sanon Credits Cocktail 2 Team For Ally’S Head-Turning Looks, Calls The Character ‘Unhinged And Beautifully Chaotic’

Kriti Sanon has pulled back the curtain on one of Cocktail 2’s most-discussed talking points: Ally’s striking visual identity. As the conversation around her character continues to grow online before the film’s June 19, 2026 theatrical release, the National Award winner took to Instagram to spotlight the creative team she says shaped Ally from the inside out, not just aesthetically, but emotionally too.

Sharing a series of stills from the film, Kriti made it clear that the praise for Ally’s style belongs to more than just the face on the poster. Her note turned into a warm tribute to the stylists, hair and makeup artists, cinematographer and director who helped define a character that already feels distinct in the film’s conversation before release.

Kriti Sanon’S Heartfelt Note On Ally’S Look In Cocktail 2

In her Instagram post, Kriti wrote, “With all the love flowing in for Ally’s looks, lets give credit where its due! The woman behind these stunning looks, @anaitashroffadajania !! Ally taught me that hot and beautiful aren’t an either/or! They are a collab.. Ally is probably the most liberated, free spirited, no judgement kinda character I’ve played.. She is unhinged and beautifully chaotic, and that fully reflects in her fashion as well! That’s the beauty of Anaita, her styling is more of a character’s personality extension than just fashionable looks put together! Thank you for building the essence of Ally along with me & for giving the audiences a never-seen-before version of me”

She continued, “Special thanks to my @sukritigrover, our associate costume stylist. You are by far one of the most hardworking and talented people I’ve come across! Both Ally & her journey wouldn’t have been the same without you Suks.. Love you”

Kriti also praised her longtime glam collaborators, writing, “And of course my incredible hmu duo! @aasifahmedofficial @adrianjacobsofficial When you’ve done so many films, characters and looks together, it can get hard to reinvent and do something different.. but Ally’s beachy hair have their own fandom now and the bronzed sunkissed look is everything sexy! It’s all you guys.. the Best Team ever!”

She then thanked director Homi Adajania and cinematographer Santhana Krishnan Ravichandran: “And the captain of our ship, the mastermind, @homster_ !! Homzz, thank you for making Ally so cool & effortless.. (you know that i drew a lot of her from your personality) most importantly, thank you for trusting me & making Ally one of the most special characters I’ve played.. and @santha_dop No one could have captured her the way you did, every frame is so damn beautiful & yet so real! I just stood there feeling sexy, beautiful, grateful and so Ally!”

Cocktail 2 is directed by Homi Adajania and stars Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead. Produced by Maddock Films and Luv Films, the romantic comedy drama is positioned as a spiritual sequel to the 2012 hit Cocktail. The film follows Diya and Kunal, whose long relationship is shaken when Ally re-enters their lives, setting off a chaotic emotional triangle.

That central disruption is also what makes Ally such an intriguing fit in Kriti’s current phase as an actor, where her most memorable parts are increasingly the ones that arrive with sharp tonal identity and immediate audience recall.

Ally Adds A New Edge To Kriti Sanon’S Current Run

What stands out in the current response to Ally is not just the styling conversation, but the sense that the character brings volatility and charm into the heart of Cocktail 2’s relationship drama. Kriti’s own words have helped frame Ally as someone messy, magnetic and impossible to flatten into a stock glam role, which is precisely why the pre-release interest feels stronger than a routine fashion moment tied to a film campaign.

That makes Ally a notable addition to a career stretch where Kriti has leaned into variety. In 2024, she starred opposite Shahid Kapoor in Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya and later appeared in Do Patti, the Netflix thriller she also produced under Blue Butterfly Films. Her 2026 slate now includes Cocktail 2, with Ally emerging as a character designed to leave a strong first impression even before the film reaches theatres.
