The Krrish universe is expanding again with Hrithik Roshan taking the director’s chair for Krrish 4 after his dad Rakesh Roshan. The much-awaited instalment of this superhero film is set to begin shooting in the first quarter of 2026.
As per fresh updates, Priyanka Chopra is confirmed to return to the franchise too. She will once again play Priya, her character from Krrish (2006).
Priyanka Chopra Set To Reprise Her Role In Krrish 4
A source close to the project revealed to Pinkvilla, “Hrithik and Priyanka are a successful pair and have an excellent work relationship. It was more of a no-brainer for PC to come on board Krrish 4, as the story continues the journey of characters from Koi Mil Gaya to Krrish 3.”
The soruce further mentioned that Priyanka loved Hrithik’s vision for the film and was excited to be part of this next chapter. The story carries forward the magical journey of Rohit Mehra, Krishna, and now Krrish, with even bigger twists.
Hrithik has partnered with Aditya Chopra and Yash Raj Films to give Krrish 4 a grand, global feel. The team promises to stick to the Indian roots while delivering top-tier entertainment. At YRF Studios, the pre-production work has already kicked off. The in-house VFX team YFX is currently working on the film’s pre-visualisation.
The fan-favourite alien Jadoo is also making a comeback after 23 years. His return will add nostalgia to the story.
Hrithik is also working with a tight-knit team of writers to polish the script. Every part of the story connects to the visual effects, which are not just for spectacle but rooted in the plot.
Makers Are Currently In Process Of Finalising Other Cast Members
A source added, “There are some projects which are designed keeping VFX in mind, but Krrish 4 is a film where the inception of VFX stems from the story, which is magical. Pun intended.”
The team is still finalising the rest of the cast, but the excitement is already high. Krrish 4 will mark Hrithik’s return as the superhero after 14 years.
