Superstar Salman Khan has narrowly escaped another attack planned by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. This incident comes just over a month after gunmen fired shots outside his Bandra residence in Mumbai.
As reported by ANI, Navi Mumbai Police arrested four members of the Bishnoi gang who planned to target Khan’s car during his travels to his farmhouse in Panvel. The investigation revealed the gang’s intent to procure weapons from a Pakistani arms supplier. An FIR has been registered against over 17 individuals, including Lawrence Bishnoi, Anmol Bishnoi, and Goldy Brar. The investigation continues.
Recce Conducted In Panvel
Deputy Commissioner of Police Vivek Pansare confirmed the arrests. He stated, “The accused had been planning this attack for a long time. They even resided in Panvel for a recce.” The arrested individuals are identified as Dhananjay Tapesingh alias Ajay Kashyap, Gaurav Bhatia alias Nahvi, Vapsi Khan alias Waseem Chikna, and Rizwan Khan.
Salman Khan Has Increased The Security After Previous Attack
On April 14, 2024, two assailants on a motorcycle fired shots outside Salman Khan’s Bandra residence. Six people were arrested in connection with that incident. One accused, Anuj, passed away. Currently, four are in judicial custody, while one remains in police custody.
Following the April attack, security around Salman Khan’s residence has been significantly increased. The Maharashtra Police have provided him with Y+ security. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde visited Khan’s residence to assure the family of strict action against the perpetrators.
Despite the recent threats, Salman Khan remains unaffected and is concentrating on his projects. He is currently attending a pre-wedding cruise celebration for Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant with the Ambani family. After the event, he is expected to shoot for Sikandar.
