Ranbir Kapoor made a noteworthy appearance at a Mumbai polling station late in the afternoon to cast his vote.
Dressed in a white shirt and jeans, his look was accentuated by golden studs in his ears, likely part of his character for the upcoming film Ramayana.
Ranbir Kapoor Touches Prem Chopra’s Feet At Polling Booth
Upon his arrival, Kapoor encountered veteran actor Prem Chopra, who was accompanied by his son-in-law, actor Sharman Joshi.
Kapoor immediately touched Chopra’s feet. The three actors shared a brief conversation before Kapoor proceeded to cast his vote. Before leaving, Kapoor again showed his respect by touching Chopra’s feet.
Addressing the media, Kapoor urged citizens to exercise their voting rights, stating, “Everyone has the power on one fingertip. Please go and vote.”
Bollywood Stars Rushed To Cast Their Votes
The polling day saw a significant turnout of Bollywood celebrities. Early in the morning, stars like Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Kiara Advani, Gulzar, Anil Kapoor, Suniel Shetty, and Shilpa Shetty were spotted casting their votes. Deepika Padukone, heavily pregnant, arrived with her husband Ranveer Singh, holding his hand for support as they entered the booth.
Elderly actors such as Dharmendra and Shobha Khote also made it a point to vote, demonstrating their commitment to civic duty.
Other stars, including Janhvi Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, and Akshay Kumar, cast their votes early in the day due to subsequent work commitments.
Akshay Kumar’s vote was particularly significant as it marked his first time voting in India after renouncing his Canadian citizenship last year. Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao were headed to Benaras to promote their upcoming film Mr & Mrs Mahi after voting.
