Sanjay Leela Bhansali is doing everything possible for his next magnum opus Love And War. Starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal, this film is shaping up to be a gripping battle of love, power, and ego.
The team is currently filming in Mumbai, and intense confrontation scenes between the leads are already in the can.
It’s A Battle Of Ego Between Ranbir Kapoor And Vicky Kaushal
According to insiders, the film revolves around the fierce rivalry between two dominant personalities. A source revealed to Pinkvilla, “It’s a film revolving around two strong-headed males played by Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal. Both of them are phenomenal actors and indulge in a tug-of-war for Alia Bhatt’s character.”
Bhansali has already shot several crucial face-offs between Ranbir and Vicky, and the results have reportedly exceeded expectations.
The source added, “SLB has already shot some confrontation sequences between RK and Vicky and is mighty impressed with the output as both the leads are fantastic actors with a stellar screen presence.”
SLB’s Vision For Love And War Moving Forward
The film’s lead trio has completely surrendered to Bhansali’s world, bringing his vision to life with dedication. The source confirmed, “In fact, the trio of RK, Alia, and Vicky have surrendered themselves to SLB’s world. The shoot is going smooth, and the film is on track for a release in March 2026.”
Ranbir’s character will have strong negative shades & add layers to the story. The same source shared, “It’s a difficult arc, but reflecting well on the camera. Vicky’s character on the other hand is subdued but opinionated. It’s a clash of fire and ice, with both the heroes playing to the gallery in a larger-than-life drama.”
Both actors portray officers in the Indian Armed Forces with an intense rivalry between them. The film promises to be a spectacle considering Bhansali’s signature grandeur and emotional depth,
Filming is expected to wrap up by November 2025 & Love And War is locked in for a theatrical release on March 20, 2026. This marks a significant return for both Ranbir and Vicky after their massive hits, Animal and Chhaava.
