Salman Khan is all set to return to big screens with one of the year’s biggest releases. AR Murugadoss directs his much-awaited film Sikandar, which promises to be more than just a mass entertainer.
In a recent interview, Murugadoss shared that Sikandar has a unique twist, much like his 2008 blockbuster Ghajini.
AR Murugadoss Say Sikandar Is More Than A Mass Action Film
Murugadoss compared Sikandar to Ghajini and said that both films have intense action, but Sikandar stands out with its emotional depth.
He shared with TOI, “This is not only a mass film; it has strong family emotions. Ghajini was about a boyfriend-girlfriend love story, but this is about a husband-wife relationship.”
He also highlighted that the film explores modern relationships and couples’ challenges.
The director explained that Ghajini seemed like a psychological thriller at first, but its love story between Aamir Khan and Asin struck an emotional chord with audiences. He hinted at a similar surprise in Sikandar and added, “Here, there’s an element of love that will move the audience.”
Director Teases A BIG Surprise Element In Salman Khan Starrer
Murugadoss teased that the film offers more than it seems on the surface. “It is a mass film with a strong emotional foundation, just like Ghajini. Initially, people thought Ghajini was just an action thriller, but the love story became its emotional core. Similarly, Sikandar has that surprise element – an intense, husband-wife story at its heart.”
Fans are eager to see how Salman Khan brings this emotional depth to his role. Known for his larger-than-life characters, he is expected to deliver a performance that blends action with heartfelt emotions.
Alongside Salman Khan, Sikandar features Kajal Aggarwal, Rashmika Mandanna, Sathyaraj, Prateik Babbar and Sharman Joshi in key roles. The film is set to release in cinemas on March 30.
