Netflix India is set to expand its anthology lineup with Lust Stories 3. The streaming giant has reportedly given the green light for the third chapter of the popular series, bringing new takes on love, lust, and power.
Lust Stories 3 In The Works
A Peeping Moon report reveals that the upcoming season will once again feature four short films, each exploring themes of female sexuality and relationships. Ronnie Screwvala’s RSVP Movies and Ashi Dua’s Flying Unicorn Entertainment will produce the anthology.
While the directors are yet to be confirmed, talks are underway with acclaimed filmmakers Vikramaditya Motwane (Jubilee, Black Warrant), Kiran Rao (Dhobi Ghat, Laapataa Ladies), and Shakun Batra (Kapoor & Sons, Gehraiyaan).
Filming Expected To Begin In 1st Half Of 2025
The series is expected to bring together a stellar cast, though no actors have been finalised yet. Filming is set to begin in early 2025, with a planned Netflix release in 2026.
The Lust Stories franchise is known for its bold storytelling, highlighting women embracing their desires while navigating emotional struggles.
Its first season was released in 2018 and featured stories directed by Anurag Kashyap, Karan Johar, Zoya Akhtar, and Dibakar Banerjee (starring Vicky Kaushal, Radhika Apte, Bhumi Pednekar, and Kiara Advani). The second season, released in 2023, continued the trend with directors R. Balki, Konkona Sen Sharma, Sujoy Ghosh, and Amit Sharma. It featured actors like Kajol, Tamannaah Bhatia, Vijay Varma, and Mrunal Thakur.
