After Amaran, Sivakarthikeyan is back in beast mode with Madharasi, his upcoming action-packed thriller directed by AR Murugadoss. The makers dropped the official announcement on the release today. The film will hit cinemas on September 5 during Teacher’s Day.
Madharasi Release Date Announced
This marks the first time Sivakarthikeyan and Murugadoss have teamed up. After the massive hit Amaran, SK is levelling up. The latest poster shows him in a rugged look, rocking a full beard and a fierce death stare. And just to turn up the heat, cars are exploding in flames at the bottom of the poster. It won’t be wrong to call it wild and intense.

Madharasi is also a milestone moment for SK. It’s his 26th film, and the makers had announced it earlier on his 39th birthday. The film also stars Rukmini Vasanth in the lead. This marks her debut in Tamil cinema. The Hindi version of this pan India film will be called Dil Madharasi.
If you caught the teaser that dropped in February, you already know what’s coming. Sivakarthikeyan and Vidyut Jammwal face off in a high-stakes battle. The teaser was packed with bomb blasts, war vibes, and solid action. Vidyut plays the villain here, and this is his second time working with Murugadoss after Thuppakki.
Additionally, Anirudh Ravichander is handling the music.
Film To Begin Its Final Schedule Soon
The team will soon begin the final shooting schedule. Once that wraps, the full-scale promotions will begin. N Srilakshmi Prasad is producing Madharasi under the Sri Lakshmi Movies banner.
Apart from Madharasi, Sivakarthikeyan is also prepping for his next big project, Parasakthi by director Sudha Kongara. The film also features Sreeleela, Ravi Mohan, and Atharvaa Murali in key roles.
