Madhuri Dixit has spoken highly of her Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 co-star Kartik Aaryan, especially appreciating his thoughtful approach to acting and filmmaking.
The two shared the screen for the first time in the recently released blockbuster, which has grossed over Rs 300 crores globally, with more than Rs 200 crores coming from India alone.
The film’s success also marked a significant milestone for Kartik, who became the youngest actor to enter the Rs 200 cr club.

Actress Madhuri praised Kartik for his hardworking nature and his wider perspective on the film industry. In an interview with a leading portal, she said, “He’s a very hardworking boy. He’s always thinking about what’s next. He approaches his scenes in a very genuine manner. He is also thinking about other aspects, like how we are going to promote the film when it’s up for release.”
She added, “He’s not only thinking about acting as a piece, but he wants to be part of the bigger filmmaking process, which is very useful in today’s day and age. He is a wider thinker than just working in the movies.”
How Madhuri Dixit Helped Kartik For His Kathak Performance
In another media interview, Madhuri also shared a behind-the-scenes moment where she helped Kartik with his Kathak performance for the film’s climax. “I was rehearsing for my portion of “Mere Dholna (or Ami Je Tomar),” and Kartik was rehearsing on the same floor. I did help him hone his hand gestures and make his steps look delicate,” she stated.
Recently, Madhuri also revealed that only she, Kartik, and Vidya Balan, knew about the plot twist.

In the film, Vidya returns to the Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise after her iconic performance in the first instalment. Madhuri and Triptii Dimri were new additions to the third film. The story maintains suspense around Vidya & Madhuri’s characters, who were both assumed to be ghosts ‘Manjulika’.
However, the shocking twist at the climax revealed that Kartik Aaryan’s character was the real Manjulika with a dual role in the film.
