Despite the initial determination of suicide and drug overdose as the cause, supporters remained adamant about the presence of foul play. As a result, Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis, stepped in and joined forces with the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to address the case.
In a recent development, Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis shared an important update regarding the Sushant Singh Rajput case, which has garnered significant attention from fans. He disclosed that two individuals approached him and his team with potential evidence related to the case, which is currently under investigation. During an interview, Fadnavis stated that initially, the information available was based on hearsay, but these individuals claimed to possess substantial evidence. As a result, his team reached out to them, urging them to submit the evidence to the police for further examination.
Fadnavis, however, refrained from divulging any further details, stating that the credibility of the presented evidence is currently being evaluated. He emphasized that the investigation is still ongoing, and it would be premature for him to speculate on the final outcome of the case at this stage.

Sushant Singh Rajput commenced his professional journey as a television actor and achieved tremendous acclaim for his portrayal of Manav Deshmukh in the popular series Pavitra Rishta, where he shared the screen with his then-girlfriend Ankita Lokhande. Making his foray into Bollywood with the film Kai Po Che! in 2013, he subsequently starred in notable movies such as Shuddh Desi Romance, PK, MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, Kedarnath, and others. Unfortunately, the actor was discovered deceased in his Mumbai residence in June 2020, triggering an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his untimely passing.
