Manushi’s debut film, Samrat Prithviraj, released on June 3, 2022, garnered a net domestic collection of Rs 10.70 crores and a worldwide gross of Rs 55.05 crores, falling short of its reported Rs 300 crores budget by over Rs 170 crores.
The Great Indian Family
Her subsequent venture, The Great Indian Family, hit screens on September 22, 2023, but failed to impress, earning only Rs 7.58 crores domestically and a worldwide gross of approximately $72,673, categorising it as a flop and resulting in significant losses.
Operation Valentine
Operation Valentine, released on March 1, 2024, faced a disastrous box office outcome, with net domestic and worldwide gross collections of Rs 10 crores and Rs 12.40 crores, respectively, failing to recover its reported Rs 40 crore budget.
Bade Miyan Chote Miyan (BMCM)
Lastly, BMCM, her latest release with Akshay Kumar, has also faced a disastrous opening at the box office. Bade Miyan Chote Miyan collected 16.07 crore nett on day one at the Indian box office. Given that Eid is one of the biggest days for Bollywood films at the box office, the film should have grown by leaps and bounds. But that is far from the case! Makers released official numbers of Rs 36 crore worldwide gross on day one but didn’t provide a breakdown of Indian box office numbers. On day two, the film dropped further by 50% plus and might collect around 7 – 8 crore nett, which is a washout number. The fate of this film also looks doomed.
