Fans of urban romance will have to wait a little longer for the much-anticipated sequel, Metro In Dino, starring Sara Ali Khan and Aditya Roy Kapur. Initially scheduled for release on December 8, 2023, the film’s producers, Bhushan Kumar and filmmaker Anurag Basu, opted to delay its premiere to November 29, 2024, aiming to maintain the essence of the original.
T-Series Announced New Release Date For Metro In Dino
The fresh release date was announced through T-Series’ social media, inviting fans on a journey through urban romance with the caption, “Get ready for a journey through urban romance like never before! #Metro… इन दिनों in cinemas on 29th November 2024.” Despite the excitement surrounding the announcement, the change in schedule may have disappointed eager fans anticipating the urban romance promised by Metro In Dino.
Metro In Dino Will Also Be A Multi-Starrer Film Like Life In A Metro
Following in the footsteps of its predecessor, Life In A Metro, Metro In Dino boasts a multi-starrer cast, including Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sen Sharma, Ali Fazal, and Fatima Sana Shaikh. The film aims to intertwine the narratives of two contemporary love stories, exploring love through diverse perspectives, moods, and shades.
Much like its predecessor, the film’s music will be composed by Pritam Chakraborty, with Anurag Basu helming the directorial duties. The production is managed by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Anurag Basu, and Taani Basu.
For those unfamiliar, Life In A Metro, released in 2007, left an indelible mark on audiences with its ensemble cast, including veterans like Dharmendra and Nafisa Ali, alongside Shilpa Shetty, Kay Kay Menon, Shiney Ahuja, Irrfan Khan, Konkona Sen Sharma, Kangana Ranaut, and Sharman Joshi.
