Mimoh Chakraborty is all set to return with a sequel to his 2011 film titled Haunted 3D: Ghosts of the Past. The film will release in cinemas on September 26, 2025. Vikram Bhatt is directing the sequel once again, keeping his horror streak alive.
Haunted 3D (released in 2011) made headlines as India’s first stereoscopic 3D horror film. It starred Mimoh and Tia Bajpai in lead roles. The story followed a young man trying to help a trapped spirit haunted by a dark past.
The mix of horror, emotions, and trauma struck a chord with audiences. The film also turned out to be a surprise hit at the box office.
Haunted 3D Sequel Announced!
Now, more than ten years later, Bhatt is ready to take fans back into the spooky world. Mimoh returns as the lead, while Chetna Pande (known from Ace of Space) joins him as the female lead. The makers recently dropped the motion poster, which quickly went viral. The eerie background track in the teaser has already caught fans’ attention.
Earlier, Mimoh spoke about the sequel on a podcast. He said, “A sequel to Haunted 3D is currently in the works and will be helmed by Vikram Bhatt himself.” He also shared that the teaser has been shot and will be out soon.
