May is anticipated to be a subdued month in Bollywood, with only a handful of significant film releases. However, excitement is set to peak towards the month’s end with the highly awaited debut of Mr And Mrs Mahi on May 31.
Starring Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor, this production by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Zee Studios has garnered high expectations from audiences. An intriguing update has surfaced regarding the film’s marketing approach.
Mr And Mrs Mahi Trailer To Be Launched In 2nd Week Of May
According to sources cited by Bollywood Hungama, the trailer for Mr And Mrs Mahi is scheduled for release in the second week of May, with the exact date to be confirmed soon.
Following the trailer launch, attention will shift towards unveiling the film’s soundtrack, with the entire promotional campaign expected to span approximately three weeks.
Rajkummar Rao Also Has Another Release Srikanth Scheduled In May
Interestingly, Rajkummar Rao is set to feature in another May release, Srikanth, portraying the role of visually impaired industrialist Srikanth Bolla.
The timing of the Mr And Mrs Mahi trailer launch is expected to coincide with the release of Srikanth on May 10 This film also stars Alaya F, Jyotika, and Sharad Kelkar.
Directed by Sharan Sharma, known for his directorial debut with Gunjan Saxena – The Kargil Girl (2020), Mr And Mrs Mahi has been eagerly anticipated since its announcement in November 2021.
In January 2022, glimpses of Janhvi Kapoor preparing for her role as a cricketer alongside Dinesh Karthik were shared by the makers.
Initially slated for release on October 7, 2023, Mr And Mrs Mahi faced delays but is now gearing up for its theatrical debut. For Janhvi Kapoor, this marks her fourth theatrical release following Dhadak (2018), Roohi (2021), and Mili (2022).
Janhvi Kapoor & Rajkummar Rao’s Other Upcoming Projects
She is also lined up for two more theatrical releases this year, including the political thriller Ulajh and the Pan India film Devara alongside Jr NTR and Saif Ali Khan.
As for Rajkummar Rao, besides Srikanth and Mr And Mrs Mahi, audiences can anticipate his appearances in Stree 2 and Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video later in 2024.
