After Srikanth, Rajkummar Rao is set to entertain audiences with his upcoming film Mr & Mrs Mahi alongside Janhvi Kapoor. In this film, he portrays Mahendra, a failed cricketer who marries Mahima in an arranged marriage. Interestingly, both characters share the same nickname, Mahi.
In a recent BTS clip shared by the makers, Rajkummar Rao discusses his character in depth and reveals the extensive preparation he undertook for the role of Mahendra.

In this BTS video “Inside Mahendra’s Mind”, Rajkummar Rao delves into the intricacies of his character Mahendra. Rajkummar states that his character extends beyond cricket to encompass relationships, emotional baggage, trauma, and aspirations.
He discusses his preparation for the role, including observing coaches to capture their body language and technical cues for an authentic portrayal.
Impressed by his dedication, the filmmakers believed Rao was the ideal actor to bring to life the character of a supportive husband who faces his own struggles with success.

Janhvi Kapoor is also lined up for two more theatrical releases this year, including the political thriller Ulajh and the pan-India film Devara alongside Jr NTR and Saif Ali Khan.
As for Rajkummar Rao, besides Srikanth and Mr & Mrs Mahi, audiences can anticipate his appearances in Stree 2 and Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video later in 2024.
