Just as the hype surrounding Housefull 5 couldn’t get any bigger, yet another spicy twist has been revealed — is Nana Patekar the murderer in this lunacy of a cruise comedy?
With the trailer release of Sajid Nadiadwala’s multistarrer, Housefull 5, on Tuesday, May 27, fans are already on detective duty to figure out who the elusive murderer is on board the luxury cruise.
According to a source close to the project, Nana Patekar’s unique introduction in the teaser was not just coincidental.
“Nana Patekar was introduced separately from the rest of the 18 actors in the teaser of Housefull 5. All of that, after all, was a hint that he’s likely the murderer and that he is also the one creating the havoc on the ship,” revealed an insider.
The insider added,
“Nana is a seasoned pro and if he is actually the murderer then you are in for a funny yet thrilling plot twist that will inevitably be delivered with the signature Nana punch.”
A Murder On The High Seas: Cruise Comedy With A Twist
With a tagline of “Killer Comedy”, Housefull 5 has given audiences the promise of a whodunit, bundled with humour, and the murder occurring during the comedic mayhem on the luxe cruise liner.
The teaser has already foretold that everything goes awry mid-sea, and songs like ‘Laal Pari’, ‘Dil E Nadaan’ and the recently released ‘Qayamat‘ have set up a film full of humour, drama, glamour — and now mystery.

According to sources, the creators are planning a mega launch event for the trailer on May 27 with all 19 stars believed to be attending, including:

Directed by Tarun Mansukhani (Dostana), the story and screenplay are by Sajid Nadiadwala. Housefull 5 is set for Bakri Eid release on June 6, 2025.
