National Cinema Day is back on Friday, September 20, with a blockbuster deal. This event, which started in September 2022, was a huge success last year. Nearly every show sold out, and this year promises even more excitement.
Yudhra, Binny And Family & Other New Releases At Just Rs 99 On National Cinema Day
According to the latest reports, for this year’s celebration, tickets will be available for just Rs. 99. However, if you’re eyeing special formats like IMAX, 4DX, or recliner seats, you’ll need to shell out Rs. 199.
The move aims to draw crowds to theatres and boost the box office for both new releases and recent hits.
Two major Hindi films hitting theatres next week will particularly benefit from this offer. Yudhra, featuring Siddhant Chaturvedi, Malavika Mohanan, and Raghav Juyal, and Binny And Family, marking the debut of Varun Dhawan’s niece, Anjini Dhawan, are expected to draw large audiences.
The Rs. 99 ticket offer will make these films more accessible and potentially lead to stronger weekend performances if word of mouth is favourable.
Tumbbad, The Buckingham Murders & More To Benefit From This Deal
The offer isn’t limited to just the new releases. Recent arrivals like Tumbbad and The Buckingham Murders, both currently showing, will also benefit from this special pricing.
In addition, the Marathi comedy-drama Navra Maza Navsacha 2, which follows a cult hit first part, will see heightened attendance due to the offer. The sequel, starring Sachin Pilgaonkar, Ashok Saraf, and Supriya Pilgaonkar, is poised for record-breaking collections in Maharashtra.
The offer extends to international films as well. Hollywood fans can catch Transformers One, the latest animated adventure, and Halle Berry’s horror thriller Never Let Go. Additionally, debutant Dhvani Bhanushali’s film Kahan Shuru Kahan Khatam will also enjoy the benefits of this promotional day.
Interestingly, this isn’t the first time this year that theatres have offered tickets at Rs. 99. Similar promotions took place on February 23, May 31, and August 9, under the banner of Cinema Lovers Day.
These initiatives have consistently proven successful, driving up cinema attendance and boosting box office numbers.
