“I wish to put it on record that my decision to part with Hera Pheri 3 was never connected to creative differences. I repeat, there are no differences regarding creative with the filmmaker. I have a lot of love, respect, and faith in Mr. Priyadarshan.”
Rawal’s statement directly eliminates a possible fallout with director Priyadarshan, who announced the film Hera Pheri 3 on January 31, 2025, with the original cast members Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal to return as the legendary trio.
If not a creative disagreement, then what could have gone awry? While Rawal’s statement alleviated noise about going their own ways from the director, it effectively, if subtly, puts the gaze away from Priyadarshan to the production house.

Industry sources seem to indicate the actor might not have accepted the new fee structure and backend deals after budget adjustments were done based on production costs with the previously tumultuous casting arrangements.
