Prabhas Storms Into Fauzi As Rebel Soldier, Makers Lock March 19, 2027 Release With Birthday Teaser

Prabhas’ birthday came with a powerful new look at Fauzi, as the makers finally revealed the star in a fierce rebel-soldier avatar from Hanu Raghavapudi’s period drama. The teaser, mounted on a grand historical canvas, immediately positions the film as one of the actor’s most ambitious upcoming spectacles. It also confirms that Fauzi is now headed to theatres on March 19, 2027, replacing its earlier December 3, 2026 release plan.

Fauzi Teaser Reveals A Darker, War-Driven Tone

The teaser opens in Berlin and stages a tense historical exchange involving Adolf Hitler and Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose before shifting to the British oppression of India. From there, it zeroes in on Prabhas’ character, a lone warrior-like figure who appears to be leading a violent resistance against the colonial regime.

What stands out most is the mood. The footage is gritty, heavy, and steeped in conflict, with the visuals favouring tension and brute-force action over sentiment. The teaser closes with the makers announcing a March 19, 2027 theatrical release, confirming the film’s new release date after weeks of speculation over a postponement.

Cast, Setting And Film Details

Directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, Fauzi is produced by Mythri Movie Makers and presented by T-Series Films. The historical action drama is set against the backdrop of India’s freedom struggle and appears to place Prabhas in a patriotic role shaped by rebellion, sacrifice, and large-scale combat.

The film stars debutant Imanvi opposite Prabhas, with Mithun Chakraborty, Jaya Prada, and Anupam Kher also part of the cast. Based on the teaser, the film is aiming for a broad visual sweep, combining wartime imagery with nationalist drama and a rugged star introduction designed to underline Prabhas’ screen command.

Prabhas’ Recent And Upcoming Work

Prabhas was last seen in Kalki 2898 AD in 2024, Nag Ashwin’s sci-fi epic co-starring Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patani. Before that came Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire in 2023, directed by Prashanth Neel, which emerged as a major commercial success and reinforced his pull in action-driven event cinema.

His upcoming slate remains packed with high-profile theatrical projects. The RajaSaab, directed by Maruthi and co-starring Sanjay Dutt, Nidhhi Agerwal, Malavika Mohanan, and Riddhi Kumar, is part of that lineup and remains an unreleased title in his current filmography. Beyond that, Fauzi now has a confirmed March 19, 2027 release date, while Spirit, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, is another confirmed future project. Taken together, the lineup reflects a phase in which Prabhas is balancing large-format action, genre experimentation, and marquee pan-India titles.
