Priyanka Chopra To Become Highest-Paid Actress In Indian Cinema With Her Pay Cheque For Rajamouli’s SSMB 29?

Priyanka Chopra is set to become the highest-paid actress in Indian cinema with a Rs 30 crore pay cheque for SSMB 29.

Priyanka Chopra is reportedly set to become the highest-paid actress in Indian cinema with her role in SS Rajamouli’s upcoming jungle adventure film SSMB 29

The film, which stars Mahesh Babu in the lead role, is described as a jungle action adventure. Mahesh Babu’s character will be a desi Rambo type, fighting through thick jungles and facing tough obstacles.

Priyanka Chopra To Get This Whopping Amount For SSMB 29?

Latest reports suggest that Priyanka will earn a massive Rs 30 crores for her part, making her the highest-paid female actor in Hindi cinema. Although this amount is slightly less than what Priyanka originally asked for, it comes after months of intense negotiations between her team and Rajamouli’s.

A source close to the situation shared with Bollywood Hungama, “She wasn’t willing to budge on her fee. Why should only male actors get double-digit salaries in our films?”

This firm stance led to a prolonged negotiation period, which delayed the official announcement of her involvement in the film.

Filming is already underway in Hyderabad at Ramoji Film City and Aluminium Factory, and the team will soon head to Europe for a 15-day shoot.

The project is causing a stir across India as it marks Priyanka Chopra’s return to the Indian film industry after a significant break. Her involvement is seen as a major highlight, especially given her growing international profile. The film is expected to be a Pan-India project, and its global theme will help boost its reach.

Has John Abraham Replaced Prithviraj Sukumaran In This Mahesh Babu Starrer?

It was initially reported that Malayalam actor Prithviraj Sukumaran had been replaced by John Abraham as the film’s main villain. However, sources now confirm that Prithviraj is still part of the project. His schedule was tight due to other commitments, but he is expected to start shooting in March 2025 and has allotted over 100 days to the film.

Meanwhile, John Abraham’s role in the film is still being discussed, and he may appear in a different capacity. The script for the movie has been in the works since the pandemic lockdown, with Rajamouli and his father creating the storyline.

The film is expected to feature a thrilling spy-adventure element, with Mahesh Babu’s character compared to Lord Hanuman, tasked with saving humanity from a significant threat. The team is also considering shooting in Latin America, and more Asian actors may join the cast as Rajamouli aims to make the film a global success, building on the success of RRR.
