Rajkummar Rao CLAIMS He’s Not Rich Enough To Buy A Luxury Car & Still Paying House EMIs; Agrees Actors Don’t Deserve High Fees Overnight

Rajkummar Rao reveals he isn't as wealthy as people think. Check what the Stree 2 actor said in his recent interview.

Rajkummar Rao is riding high after the success of Stree 2, which recently became one of the few Bollywood films to cross Rs 600 crore in India.

However, he wants to clear the air about his finances. In a candid chat on the YouTube channel Unfiltered with Samdish, Rajkummar shared that he’s not as wealthy as many assume.

Rajkummar Rao REACTS To Misconceptions About His Financial Status

“Honestly, I don’t have as much money as people think I do. They probably think I have Rs 100 crore. But I don’t. I have EMIs to pay. I bought a house, and the EMI is pretty hefty,” Rajkummar said.

He added, “It’s not like I can just walk into a showroom and say, ‘How much is that car?’ ‘Sir, Rs 6 crore.’ ‘Give it to me!’ I simply don’t have that kind of cash.”

When the host pressed him on whether he could afford a car worth Rs 50 lakh, Rajkummar hesitated. “Sure, I could buy it, but I’d have to think about it,” he explained. “Buying a Rs 50 lakh car would stress me out a bit. Right now, I could buy a car worth Rs 20 lakh without worrying.”

Stree 2 Actor Feels Actors Don’t Deserve A MASSIVE Paycheque Overnight

Rajkummar also discussed the topic of actor salaries. He believes it doesn’t sit well when actors earn massive paycheques overnight. “It messes with their psyche,” he said. Rajkummar expressed concern about how such sudden wealth can impact an actor’s mindset.

His recent projects show that Rajkummar is staying busy despite the financial realities. Following Stree 2, he stars in Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, a sex comedy directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa.

The film centres around a newly married couple whose honeymoon tape gets stolen, leading to plenty of comedic situations. Rajkummar shares the screen with Triptii Dimri, and the film also features Vijay Raaz and Mallika Sherawat. Produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series, the film is generating buzz ahead of its release.

Now, Rajkummar Rao is set to take on a new challenge in Maalik, directed by Pulkit. In this action thriller, he will step into the role of a full-blown action star for the first time. It will be exciting to see how he adapts to this new genre.
