For Makar Sankranti, Rakul gave her fans a glimpse of her first day back on set. She posted a behind-the-scenes photo on Instagram, showing her vanity van and her makeup artists.

Actress Has A Busy Year Ahead With De De Pyaar De 2 & Mere Husband Ki Biwi
Rakul has a busy year ahead. Fans can look forward to seeing her reprise her role as Sonia Gupta in the much-anticipated De De Pyaar De 2. Directed by Anshul Sharma, the sequel will also feature Ajay Devgn, who returns as Ashish Mehra.
The film will include a stellar cast, with R. Madhavan, Jimmy Shergill, and Alok Nath playing important roles. Tamannaah Bhatia and Prakash Raj will also make cameo appearances. With its blend of comedy and drama, the film has already generated plenty of excitement.
But that’s not all Rakul has planned. She will also star in Mere Husband Ki Biwi, a romantic entertainer directed by Mudassar Aziz. The film will feature Arjun Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar alongside Rakul. Other notable cast members include Shakti Kapoor, Anita Raj, Dino Morea, and Aditya Seal. The movie promises a fun mix of romance and humour, with Rakul in the lead role.

In addition, Rakul will appear in Ameeri, where she will star alongside Neena Gupta. Directed by Ashish R. Shukla, the film will highlight Rakul’s acting versatility. With such a varied selection of roles, Rakul is set to have one of the busiest years in 2025.
Though 2025 is shaping up to be full of opportunities, Rakul’s 2024 had its hurdles. In October, she suffered a gym injury while performing a heavy deadlift without a back belt. The injury forced her to take some time off from work to recover.
Rakul shared the news on Instagram, letting fans know she would be resting until she healed. But showing her usual resilience, she bounced back quickly and is now ready to dive into her upcoming projects.
