But now, the makers clarified that the project is still on and it is all set to go on floors next month with Rakul Preet Singh as the leading lady.
The film is titled Chhatriwaali and is intended to be a humorous drama that also served to de-stigmatize condom use. The film is said to be a daring but lighthearted perspective on the subject, similar to Dream Girl. Before landing on Rakul’s lap, the film was presented to Sara Ali Khan and Ananya Panday. After hearing the narration, Sara declined the project, but Ananya and her team thought the concept and character were too risky for her. Tejas Deoskar, who directed Madhuri Dixit Nene in the Marathi film Bucket List (2018), is slated to direct the film.
