Ram Charan, Jr. NTR Starrer ‘RRR’ To Re-Release In The US On March 3 Ahead Of Oscars 2023

It will witness a re-release across 200 theatres in the US from March 3, seemingly due to Oscars 2023 buzz.

RRR, released on March 24, is an action-drama film starring Ram Charan, N.T. Rama Rao, Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, Olivia Morris. It’s directed by SS Rajamouli and has been reportedly made with a budget of 550 crores. Its song ‘Naatu Naatu’ and VFX in it got prominence from moviegoers.

Interestingly, months ago, Ram and Jr NTR promoted their film in Japan. Weeks back, the filmmaker participated in the Governor’s Awards in Los Angeles. The latest news is that it will witness a re-release across 200 theatres in the US from March 3, seemingly due to Oscars 2023 buzz.

With this, it’s poised to beat Pathaan with some more collections as SRK starrer beat RRR records a few weeks ago in the US. It has grossed more than $16.8 million (Rs 139 crore) in the US, surpassing the total US box office of numerous Oscar-nominated films, comprising of TAR, Triangle Of Sadness and Women Talking, amounting to $15.4 million. RRR stands at $14,861,603 in North America’s box-office.

RRR has been nominated for “Best Foreign Language Film” at the 46th Japan Academy Film Prize besides Hollywood films Spider-man: No Way Home, Top Gun: Maverick, Avatar: The Way of Water and CODA. The winners will be declared on March 10.
