Ram Gopal Varma has ignited controversy with his sharp attack on Ram Charan’s latest film, Game Changer. He slammed the movie’s box office figures, calling them fake and misleading. His bold remarks have stirred major debate in the film industry.
Ram Gopal Varma Calls Out Game Changer’s BO Scam
Varma took to social media to criticise the exaggerated box office claims. He argued that these inflated numbers tarnish the real success of South Indian cinema.
He tweeted, “If @ssrajamouli and @SukumarWritings skyrocketed Telugu cinema into fantastically stratospheric heights, the people behind GC succeeded in proving that the South is much more FANTASTIC in being a FRAUD.”
Varma warned that such false claims put the credibility of hits like Baahubali, RRR, KGF 2, and Kantara in question. “All of their achievements will now be in doubt because of GC claims,” he stated.
He ruled out producer Dil Raju’s involvement and called him a “truly grounded realist.” Varma believes someone else is behind what he called a “highly humiliating, disgracing insult” to the industry.

RGV Compares Ram Charan Starrer To Other South Blockbusters
In another tweet, Varma mocked the numbers by comparing Game Changer‘s budget and earnings to other blockbusters. He said, “If GC cost Rs 450 crore, then RRR should have cost Rs 4500 crore. If GC’s opening day was Rs 186 crore, then Pushpa 2 should open at Rs 1860 crore.”
Varma stressed the need for honest reporting of box office numbers. “The fundamental requirement of TRUTH is that it should sound BELIEVABLE,” he said. According to him, Game Changer‘s numbers fail this basic test.
Despite his harsh words, Varma praised Pushpa 2 and its creators. He tweeted, “I loved PUSHPA 2 but now after seeing GC I want to fall on the feet of @alluarjun and @SukumarWritings.”
